Anyone else not eat dairy? A few weeks ago, I started Shaun T.’s 30 day sports performance workout, Asylum. It comes with his personal nutrition plan to follow for the month. The first 14 days he recommends you cut all dairy out of your diet. I wasn’t sure of his reasoning but he must know what he is talking about, I mean, look at him. WOW! He even goes as far to say after the 14 days you may decide not to add dairy back into your diet again. So for 2 weeks, no cheese (I LOVE CHEESE), no yogurt (greek yogurt is my go to breakfast/snack), no ice cream (okay, just once) and no milk (this was easy for me since I switched to Almond milk months ago). Two weeks went by and I did just fine without dairy. Looking back, I felt pretty great too not realizing maybe, just maybe it was because of no diary. I immediately went to the store and stocked up on greek yogurt and looked forward to it with bananas and sliced almonds. For the next few days, I had yogurt for breakfast and added cheese back to my whole wheat english muffin and egg. After about 3 days, my stomach, well … was OFF! I felt horrible. I will save you the details but after adding dairy back into my diet I felt yucky. I decided to go back to no diary to see if it made a difference. 2 full days and I feel so much better!! I know I will never be able to give up ice cream totally but it definitely gives me a good reason to eat is less often!!!!
